Director for Strategic Communications and Brand Development
Elena Martynova is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in corporate communications and marketing. From 2018 she serves as a member of the Executive Board, Director for Strategic Communications and Brand Development of MegaFon.
From 2012 to 2021 Elena was Deputy CEO at USM, a diversified holding company with assets including Metalloinvest, Udokan copper, MegaFon, ICS Holding, CRPT and Mail.ru Group. Between 2017‑2021, she was a member of the Board of Directors of Kommersant Publishing House, Russia’s leading business media organization. Between 2012‑2018, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the broadcaster UTH, which at the time was managed by USM and included Disney Russia, STS, U, MuzTV and other TV channels. Over the course of her professional career, Elena has held executive positions at several companies, including Russian Standard Corporation, Hachette Filipacchi Shkulev Publishing House etc.
Elena is a winner of the Media Manager of Russia award. She was named PR Director of the Year at the 2020 Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards, the largest communications award in Eastern Europe, partner of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA). According to TOP‑COMM and Top‑1000 Russian Managers ratings, she was among the top three best communication directors in Russia across all nominations in 2018‑2020 and has consistently ranked first in the Diversified Holding Groups category for five years.
Elena graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
