OJSC “MegaFon Retail” Honored with SAP Value Award for the Best IT Project in Logistics

OJSC “MegaFon Retail”, a subsidiary of PJSC “MegaFon”, won the SAP Value Award 2017 in the “Logistics for the benefit of competitiveness” nomination. The company has been recognized for its project devoted to optimization and raising effectiveness of business processes in retail.

In 2017, MegaFon Retail concluded a project devoted to the implementation of SAP-based software. As part of the project, back office processes, such as financial operations, non-commercial purchases, and document management have been brought into compliance with relevant processes at MegaFon. The company managed to dramatically increase transparency of the supply chain and introduce innovative instruments for assortment management, planning, forecasting, and distributing goods. Algorithms and methods introduced in the new systems allowed for better efficiency of MegaFon Retail business processes.

“Well-adjusted logistics in retail is one of the key factors for business success,” said Andrey Kirillov, Head of Investment Management and Analysis at MegaFon, when commenting the implementation project. “I am glad that the independent jury of the competition has highly praised the results of our project. We managed to quickly transfer about 2 thousand own retail stores to simple and effective automated IT processes, achieve faster cooperation with the parent company, and establish a foundation for future development of retail.”

SAP Value is an Award given by SAP to its clients in Russia and CIS countries. The Award recognizes results of implemented projects that demonstrate proven and acknowledged value.
